    Console Advice

I could probably buy a dozen used 01Vs for the same price as well, but why would I invest money in long in the tooth, unsupported tech when there is a better alternative?

    Console Advice

M32 is a dead end at this point, MT doesn't seem interested in servicing them in a timely manner.+1 for A&H SQ line.I think the biggest problem with the TF line is that you are locked into a specific workflow, great if that workflow fits the gig, but an absolute PITA if it doesn't.

    Damaged cyc

We use On-Site for our drapery cleaning and fire proofing, they come in every five years and supply us with a certificate that keeps the fire inspectors happy.Their process doesn't use water though, so that may not solve OPs staining issue.

    GMA 3 freezing issue

Our MA3 Lite spends most of it's time in Mode 2, has been flawless to date.We were thinking about giving Mode 3 another shot, perhaps it's worth waiting a bit longer?

Pick a medium sized rider-friendly digital desk?

SD9 is almost 13 years old. I can contact Gerr - or even Digico directly - any time I have an issue (which is rare).MT is a dead end at this point. Only thing I have left is a few racks of PLM and D series Lab Gruppen. If one of those should fail, Uli better deliver a new one personally.

Pick a medium sized rider-friendly digital desk?

We have an SD9 in our big venue and a S31 in our small venue.I don't see the S31 on riders, but no one seems to have any issues operating it.I'm looking at SQ6 for my personal inventory, I have effectively sold off all of my MT products after going through the most infuriating customer...

    Captioning files availability and legality

Just spitballing here in case the plexi option doesn't pan out... What about ProPresenter's Stage Display functionality, I know in previous versions you could use an iPod/iPhone over the network as an output device.User could supply their own, or you could have a few devices in stock.

    Macbook pro to Projectors

I initially tried setting the Output Target to 3x1, and while that seems to rotate the outputs how I wanted them, it also treated the entire surface as a single 4096x2160 display, which I don't want for this application.I ended up configuring it as 3 rows by 1 column, and then...

    Macbook pro to Projectors

This is the route I went, with a Deck Link 8K and 3x 4K Televisions for some digital signage.Set it up and let it run for a week before installing. 4K video file stretched out across three screens looks great.

    Mixing Pro Intercom with ClearCom

I prefer PI belt packs but CC headsets, so that is what we run in our theatre. No issues mixing and matching.

Same for us, I don't think it's ideal but it's been working for 10+ years.

    Re-opening Procedure after Covid-19

This was based on every individual being seated 6 feet from the next. ESA just released their Reopening Guidelines, and there is language about related and unrelated groups, which gives me hope that things may not be as bad as they currently seem. We've discussed increasing the length of time...

    Re-opening Procedure after Covid-19

I think you might even be a bit high at 25%, we did a few different scenarios in our 1208-seat theatre and the highest number we could arrive at while maintaining a 6-foot space was 210, that works out to about 17%.

    Stage Doors & Truck Docks. . .

Once upon a time, we had a nice truck level dock. One day the powers that be decided to sever off part of our property, which they somehow managed to screw up and include our truck dock (as well as the star dressing room, production office and HVAC facilities). Our new neighbour was not amenable...

So... who still has a job?

Still plugging away at my main gig, for now, all of my side work has dried up for the year.Bills are paid and pantry is stocked, I keep reminding myself of this fact and that I should be thankful in today's climate to be able to say that.
