    I use madrix for pixels, I never have any problems... I've never used it for fixtures.. I hear it can be a bear... When I got pissed at them for their "no support", I switched to a free program called Glediator for quite some time, as it did what I needed, and the developer was very responsive...

    A couple thoughts:.... Is there any reason you wouldn't simply do rear projection? You could have incredibly intricate backgrounds, with as little, or as much definition as you'd like using photoshop to Blur your images. I do this style presentation all the time, and now with my new short throw...

    Gossamer

    I use Frosted or "Natural" coroplast. It's dirt cheap, and it looks like a million bucks when lit. The best thing is, I can throw it on my CNC and cut any shape I want, use it, then just chuck it later. It's only about $8 a sheet, and if you're not abusive with it, you can use it dozens of times .
