Well, what I know for sure is that the entire shutter mechanism can be rotated 50 degrees in either direction and the blades can individually be rotated 30 degrees in either direction. However, I can't say if the blades are fully closing. I searched the manual and it says that 0 is open and 255...
Yes, we currently use a VL3500Q in one of our productions, and I love it! It's not totally quiet, but much quiter than the mac 2K series. I would use them anytime the budget let me ;). Maby off topic, but the framing shutters are top notch!
I wouldn't really say that the VL1000's are quiet. Sure, they are really quiet until you do something with them, as zoom or pan/tilt or framing shutters. Then they are making quite some noise. At least the 3 of them we had in for a show.
Thank's for all your ideas and advices, I was actually thinking in that direction, but it's always good to hear someone else's ideas and comments, especially when it comes to safety. :)
Edit: "Cheeseburgers" are a great idea!
I don't now if this would be the right forum for this question, but anyway:
I currently designing a small/medium sized rig for a band and the lighting is based on hanging on 4 separate trusses standing on the floor. One problem I've come up with is how I am supposed to rig these trusses so...
I downloaded Wysiwyg release 10 demo/viewer from Cast lighting. It all seems to be running fine until i try to hang a fixture on a truss or pipe. Wysiwyg completely crashes. I did read the Wysiwyg 10 knows issues file but cannot find my problem there.
Have someone else experienced this?
I haven't had the time to go to the theatre to test the reset procedure yet, but will do it on monday.
It seems like the same unit is manufactured by Showtec (couldn't find a URL, but product name is "Showbar") and Botex: www.botex.com, product name: T-4.
I'll be back on monday to...
Thank you for your answer
After some research on the internet I managed to figure out a way of reseting the unit, and I will test it today. I did read in the users guide that you can set the dimmer levels direct from the dimmer, and I think that someone before me did use this feature.
I have some serious problems with a Showtec 4 channel DMX T-bar. Some of the channels goes to full on as soon as I power up the unit, even when my lighting desk is off.
Does anyone know how I can reset the unit or tell me how I can access the dimmer menu?
It seems like the same unit...
