it's a student director and has no comprehension of how lights look. she wants a certain feel but can't describe it. i miss my old person director!!!!

how do i make a long play that only has lights up, lights down at the end not so dull. the director doesn't like any of my design ideas.

it's a nickname. my boyfriend and i wanted petnames for each other, he's germany, i'm switzerland. we barely ever use them unless we email each other. a couple of other people have joined in.

I'm a high school student and this is my senior year. As head tech it's my job to train someone else on the lighting equipment. My problem is I don't know when to let them loose. If I'm not comfortable with them on the board then i probably won't let them loose. Is it wrong to be a stage manager...

I'm quite fond of rosco 02 and rosco 63. we also layer gels in scoops to give more depth. use a purple and a blue

My director wants to do the twilight zone in black and white. Are there any tricks to incorporate gray colors or give it that feel. I do realize the set will have to be painted in black and white and so will the actors. But any tips will be great.
