You could also never go wrong with buying a used mac. Get a squaretrade warranty on it and if/when it breaks, its repaired or (in most cases) you get a full refund. This was how I ended up with two laptops in two years for the price of one. But on you budget you can get a nice one now.

I have worked some very stressful shows. Mainly the design aspect, not as much running the show. I find it helps to get old water bottles from the recycling (with caps) fill them with water and smash them with hammer. Or get old pieces of 2 by 4 and destroy them with hammers.

Re: Think about your life Pippin! No, due to dimmer restrictions we only had one ERS focused to cyc for gobo, we had two sets of gobos for the show. The stain glass window during act one for Morning Glow, and a sun gobo with a flame (?) glass gobo and a gobo rotator to spin (using a rotator)...

My school has an ETC Ion and we love it!! We run a 150 conventional and about 7 to 8 moving lights with this.

Re: Think about your life Pippin! Thanks, It was made of two Apollo gobos, but I assume you might already know that. Those two got stolen about two days before the show and we had to over night a new set. That was about 150 to 200. Sad day.

Think about your life Pippin!This is the production of Pippin at the high school I work at. The productions are all student run and mostly student designed.

When we have a play with a full set we just use our 5 Altman zipstrips that are focused on the cyc. And up stage we use our color scrollers on par cans. For our musicals was use scoops.

Do any of you guys know what the pins are for Telex headsets? I want to make a custom headset for me that works... or maybe if any of you guys know if I can somehow fashion it to work with a bluetooth headset?
