I think most schools are better off with more lekos and no movers because the lekos dont break or really need maintnaince plus we are talking about students and teachers who dont know what a moving light is. so go buy lekos saty a way from moving lites (like blow fuses)

what about a speatre lighting board i no of one you can get for 300 cad its got 12 chanels, you can just put the lights you want on ch 1-12 on your dimmer. then just unplug the dmx for your board or put a switch in so you can select ethere your main board or the secondary board.

if you are going on the road build or buy a distro then have it inspected make sure the distro has cam lock's if you are going i to buildings that are not set up for really power like camlock conections and 3 phase power then make all the dimmers separete stove plugs every biulding has a stove

At the club I work at we got 4 Ispots and 4 Prospots they are worth the money BUT the light is very heavy so mount it well. All so not much service needed I used them 4 nights a week for 6h straight with 3 G300 (big ass fogger) and I cleaned them 1 every couple months.

if you put the lavs on the forehead of the actor then there well be no problem (I am serious the forehead)

i would say you should look for some PZM mics they are ment for wide angle picup's (they work great for choir, stage nosie, and tap danceing. if you have the budget i would say use some nice vocal mics for your soloist. hope that helps
