What do you do when a director wants to be in the booth?

LMAO! too funny In the real world, the director leaves after the opening night reception (usually very drunk) and they go off to work on their next project. In high school, they have the power to be wherever they want. Usually the school requires the students be supervised by faculty/staff...

    Clear Com - Repair

Thanks so much for all the tips. As for the headsets, they are CC-95 and the older model that doesn't have a model number on it, but is black and plastic with the Clear Com logo (grrr). Unfortunately, all I could do was re-solder some old loose connections. I reseated a ribbon cable in a belt...

Par lamp exploded above the stage during a dress rehearsal for The Importance of Being Earnest. A part of the filament landed on the sofa and caught it on fire. The ASM ran out, grabbed one of the decorative pillows and stomped it out. I kept the gel as a souveneir with parts of the glass...

    How to become a techie?

I agree. I found the best place to learn is the community theaters. You can build a lot of contacts that way and get outside gigs eventually. And don't be afraid to ask questions. Its better to have stuff done right than to have someone pretend to know what they're doing and let someone get...
