    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

If it just HAPPENS to fall on a Monday when you drop by our little town, I'm off work that day. My weekend is Sun/Mon. With a few days' notice, however, I can get off work :)

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

We really don't get much snow. We'll get a nasty one (for us) every few years, but it's melted away after a week or less. Here in western KY, just the idea of the possibility of roads freezing overnight will close schools, and all the stores will run out of bread and milk. Not even exaggerating...

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

That I don't know. I was told that when I brought it up, the board had already been in talks on things that needed to get done to the building; for how long, I don't know that either.

Sorry!! I JUST saw this, after replying to RonHebbard's post about Kee. Definitely first things first! It's just exciting to get the wheels turning :)

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Lots of stuff in that catalog I recognize ;) Just been looking for a couple of minutes before checking in here, but not seeing anything so far for hanging a LOT of weight from the ceiling. I'll keep looking!

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Very helpful! I checked, and Crittendon is the closest to us, but that person is with ETC Inc. Tennessee has several in Nashville (love that town!), as well as a couple in Jackson. Six of one, half a dozen of the other as far as distance. Jackson is a smidge closer.

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Yes sir, we are in Murray. The part of the building where the stage is has a flat roof, so I believe the ceiling joists are 2x12; I might be able to visually check that tomorrow. When I checked for direction the other night, I got on a ladder and did it by feel. Upon learning which direction the...

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Thank you, gafftaper. Seriously, I have read all of the posts, and am doing what I can to address it. My apologies for the delay in getting back with you and all- my computer is having major hard drive issues, so I don't turn it on nearly as much. I honestly didn't know the setup was as...

I sure don't, but will check that when I take the pics. Thank you, Bill :)

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

It's a 16' ceiling, and 14' 8" to the top of the grid. Going on the hopes that the building will support 270' of 1.5" Schedule 40 running US-DS (9 pieces x 30' ea) I wonder if we could attach the electrics to the ceiling and get rid of the current grid completely. I'll grab a pic today or...

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Our grid is a series of 5 x 5, with electric outlets at each intersection, for a total of 54 outlets. We could probably do some battens. The conduit runs on top of the grid, going SR-SL, so the fixtures are hung on the US-DS part of it. Figuring out how to run the electric shouldn't be too hard...

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

I'll pass that on to the powers that be. Right after sending my reply to you earlier today (was near the end of my lunch break on the route), I texted the Executive Director and said we needed to replace the grid, it's gotten weak and dangerous from use, we use real stage lighting fixtures now...

    Conventional Fixtures C-clamp question

Thank you, Gafftaper :) I'm not mad at you, nor have I felt insulted by any of the other posts in this thread. For a while, I've wondered how long it would be before part of the grid failed. It is also fastened to the walls, not just suspended from the ceiling; the grid doesn't move in the...
