I agree with the sentiment that Paradigm is probably too overkill for this situation. Without more information on your specific needs (complexity + number of scenes required) it's hard to make a good recommendation.
Awesome. I just did a couple of Hip Hop Nutcrackers where I busked a lot of strobe effects using bump buttons. I also had a pretty comprehensive Magic Sheet. Busking on an Ion is definitely an art form.

A lot of good info in here. As someone who only has experience with ETC boards I'd say go with what you're comfortable with, especially if turnaround time needs to be quick to get a new board in place.
