    Strand Palette Effects

You treat non-intensity attributes exactly the same as you would intensity. Just select the attribute button you'd like to apply the effect to, and then create a new effect from there. Depending on the tupe of attribute you are using some effect options may or may not show up in the menu.

    Mineral Oil in Hazer?

A lot of the acts we're having have been asking about oil based hazers so we've picked up a unit to test out before sinking a lot of money into a top of the line model. We have a DF-50 knock off right now. It's has the same guts as the DF-50, only without the brand name markup. My question...

    High End Color Command

Ok I'll do that.I've contacted HES and they are looking to see if they have any, but they haven't made them for years so I'm not expecting them to have any.I'll put the word out and see what I can find.If I don't have any luck at all finding someone willing to part with the brain then...

    High End Color Command

Thanks for the reply.I do not have the brain. I really should have done a little more research when I picked these up, but honestly just by looking at the HES page for the CC it doesn't mention anything about a brain or even the 4 pin.Any ideas on where I would be able to pick up the...

Keeping the haze with the AC on during the summer.

Due the way our stage is built there is always ventilation around the performers. When I say turn off the system I'm speaking more in terms of preventing the system directly over the stage from sucking up all of the air constantly. I'm actually fine with the AC running as it blows downward...

Keeping the haze with the AC on during the summer.

Our situations are actually very similar. Our theater is a barn as well. It was built for performances to replace an old theater that is a barn converted into a theater. So while it was made for shows, it does present it's own unique set of challenges. We don't have a fly rig, but there is...

Keeping the haze with the AC on during the summer.

I'm posting this here instead of in the special effects forums because to me it relates directly to lighting as that's why I'm using haze.Like most shows, we run throughout the summer. And like most in the US and elsewhere, we're fighting a pretty strong heatwave right now which requires us...

Which hazers should I be looking at?

That's what I'm looking at right now.I can't find much on videos of the product in action. Is it safe to say that the haze it produces is less thick than a Martin hazer?thanks for the reply.

Which hazers should I be looking at?

Good point. Our stage size is about 40x20. The venue was built for musical acts only so we don't have a fly rig. We've got about 40 feet overhead on stage. We've had shows that used two DF-50s which was a little overkill. I guess one of the important things I didn't mention is I'm not...

Which hazers should I be looking at?

I know these kinds of topics are pretty common, but there are a lot of hazers on the market right now, both water and oil based and I need some pointers on what model to go with.First off I'll give my requirements. Our theater seats 1500 with 1000 seats on the floor and 500 in the balcony...

    Programming to older music

Thanks for the replies. The classy look is what I'm going for right now. I just wasn't sure if I should go all out on maybe the final number. The music is the typical hits you'd see on a "Best of the 50's" album. So there is some up tempo stuff all throughout with some slower ballad type...

    Programming to older music

I'm working as LD on a retro show that is being presented by our venue. The show is essentially a 50's music production. Recently I've been lucky enough to acquire some new movers and other fixtures for the theater. What I'm wondering is how much of the newer stuff should I use for the show...

    DF-50/American DJ Haze Generator

I've since received the American DJ Haze Generator, so given the reason I ordered it (claims that it was a cheaper version of the DF-50 tech), I'll go ahead and post a quick review so others who are in a similar situation as I was will have a bit more info.First I'll give a little info on the...
