    There is something wrong here...

That is just atrocious. I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on with that plot, let alone the incredible lack of attention to safety. I hope you can influence some changes around there... the kids deserve to learn the correct way of doing things.

What is your favorite button on any lighting console?

I have to agree with this one, especially since I still have a working Encore that gets used on a daily basis.

    XLR Jacks

If the audience is paying attention to (and being bothered by) the color of your XLR cable connectors, then your show needs more help than you think.

    Stage Floor Replacement

Can't see the patch marks at all. They patched, sanded, stained, patched, sanded, stained, and stained again. The finish looks very even... just the slightest hint of roller marks before it was totally dry, and those were only visible from certain angles. I'll see what it looks like tomorrow.

    Stage Floor Replacement

    Stage Floor Replacement

Well, it's finally finally happening. We're getting a new floor to replace our worn out, 19 year old, heavily used tongue and groove floor. The new floor will be two layers of plywood on top of the plywood underlayment that's on top of the sleepers (3 layers total), with the top surface...

Using the house's dim rack on tour....

Exactly... it doesn't take much time to go in there with an air compressor and blow everything out. It should be part of every theater's regular maintenance.

Using the house's dim rack on tour....

Always check the fan(s) for proper function and flow. Pull a couple of dimmer modules and check for dust.I had a fan die in one of my two ENR racks and I had to put a big carpet fan blowing into the rack to cool it until the new replacement fan arrived.

    University of Michigan Theatre Program?

U of M has a great theater, but I don't know much else about their program. I've only popped in once to check it out.Take a drive up there and see what you think. Ask around and see if anyone can give you some helpful suggestions or ideas.
