ahh, so we (back in the day) must have been using PAR 38's for our groups of 3, because they were plugged in direct. well, plugged into a gang and then into a dimmer channel. the rack of 10 or 12 must have been PAR 36's since they had transformers, although i'm sure we used them on a dimmer...
