How to run a center PA channel?

As far as I know, it was designed to be a stereo system originally. From what I've been told, about five years ago a group came in to "fix" the PA system. Before them, it was a stereo system with the subs, pit monitors, and center speakers coming from aux sends while the L and R were just run...

How to run a center PA channel?

So this year, I've been trying to get our in-house pa up to spec (it was really in pretty bad condition). Started off with getting the feedback frequencies more or less tuned out and it finally wired in stereo, which brings me to my current problem. We have one center speaker, a left, a right...

    Concrete Hardware

As another idea for attaching to the block wall, you could use these zip anchor things. I can't remember their specific name, but basically you drill a hole through the block, stick the anchor in, and slide the front end down these zip tie like things until it's flush with the wall, and snip...

Wireless Power & antenna distribution for 20+ RF mic receivers

So I've been looking for 5 amp switch mode power supplies, without much luck. Each receiver needs .2A of current, so 5 amps seems to be a good rating to go with. Any suggestions? Or should I be using 2 power supplies, each running half the receivers. Also, how do you run those parallel...

Wireless Power & antenna distribution for 20+ RF mic receivers

We have not bought a rack yet, but it would probably be a fairly large rolling rack, which I believe are generally plastic or wood, obviously with metal reinforcing. 20 individual receivers. They each have 2 antennas in the back, if that's important. Could you explain this further? I...

Wireless Power & antenna distribution for 20+ RF mic receivers

Thanks for all the help. From what I'm hearing, I think I will look into getting distro units for all the mics and then possibly running cascading some of the antennas. THis way, everything is not dependant on one power supply. However, if we can't get all the money to run antenna distros...

Wireless Power & antenna distribution for 20+ RF mic receivers

I didn't quite understand what you mean regarding the antenna distros. We use the old sennheiser ones. Almost identical to the current G2's, but the older version. Wolfgang

Wireless Power & antenna distribution for 20+ RF mic receivers

I run sound for my school's theatre shows. We have a large theatre (1000+ people) and tend to do fairly large shows. As a result, we regularly run 20+ wireless lavs per show. Right now, they are all just stacked (neatly) next to the board, but I am pushing to get them rack mounted this year...
