Control/Dimming Strand 300 Command Wing not turning on

Didn't get a chance to look at it - it's still sitting there, dead. I figure this is a chance to upgrade to something more capable. :0) I was hoping it was an easy fix. Fact of the matter is, everyone (meaning me) was expecting the unit to fail at some point.

Control/Dimming Strand 300 Command Wing not turning on

I'm afraid we're looking at a new console. I suppose I'll have to start looking into a new one.ETC Eos TI looks like a great choice for our theater. <:0)

To add, now the unit will not boot at all. Definitely the internal battery?

Control/Dimming Strand 300 Command Wing not turning on

Hi. Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but I'm experiencing the same problem with my 300 series console. The difference is, my unit is plugged in and it stays on. The other day, they were working on the AC in the building and cut the power to the building, cutting off the power to the lighting...

Thank you for the suggestion. I called into Shure this morning and got it resolved. We've used these ULX-D1 body pack transmitters in two shows now with alkaline AA batteries. These require the AA battery plastic piece that holds the batteries in place to be placed on top of the two AA...

What to do with old mixers?

I just don't know if the C3248 will sell for $350, the amount it costs to repair it. xD As for the SL24, I think I am going to disassemble it and play with the pieces. Thank you for the suggestions!

What to do with old mixers?

Hello everyone. We have a broken Carvin C3248 and a partially-working Carvin SL24. Right now, we are running on a Mackie 1402-VLZ until we get our new mixer, which is going to be the SoundCraft SI Performer 2.I'm going to hold onto the Mackie as a backup/slave mixer. I really don't think...

URGENT Carvin C3248 Trouble - help! The show is TONIGHT! <:'0(

Thank you for the reply. I was able to procure a mobile unit from our ASB that has 5 channels available, so the show will go on (whew). Unfortunately, however, this throws a rather large wrench in our plans for the evening. I'm looking at Orange County Speaker. Does anyone have experience with...

URGENT Carvin C3248 Trouble - help! The show is TONIGHT! <:'0(

Hi everyone.Yesterday, our mixing board, Carvin C3248, stopped functioning and started to pulse. All the lights on the board were flashing with the thump thump sounds coming from the speakers. Of course I rushed to the booth as quickly as I could to shut it off. I did not want to touch it any...

Need to build a mirror wall. Hints?

Winner winner chicken dinner! The glassless / Mylar Mirror would be the best choice! Cheap and just as effective as a mirror wall. THANK YOU VERY MUCH LEN! :DThe link points me to a Mylar roll that is 48" wide and 100 feet long. PERFECT for my 48" wide flats and plenty of leftovers!
