M2GO OS Install Issue

Hey Everyone,

I'm working with a refurbished M2GO that came from the factory this week for a show next month. For all intents and purposes, assume this is my first time on the desk.

It was loaded with some very old software so I am going through the OS install process. I have loaded the proper files onto a USB stick but am getting an error window on the Install Windows portion of the process. It reads

"Windows cannot install the required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070015"

I have tried downloading again and am in the process of trying it for a third time. Any immediate thoughts here? Have sent in a support request to the factory, but I thought I would see if anyone here has had M2GO experience.

Thanks!

Not at all familiar with Martin consoles but is it possible that since it has a very old version and you are doing a recent update there are updates between the two which are needed? Happens to computer motherboard updates from time to time. From trolling the Martin forum there is a mention of doing an update(somewhat quick) versus a complete OS re-install(somewhat time consuming).
EDIT: upon re-reading your post it seems you are doing an OS re-install so never mind.
EDIT2: Did you follow the instructions here?

and did you use one of the approved flash drives?

OK, I'll shut up now since you probably have done all this.
EDIT3: Sorry the link to the OS installation won't copy, you have to get it from this page:

It might be trying to find drivers to update something that is connected to it. I would disconnect as much as you can to finish the install.

The other thing is that the file path is different then what you have on the stick and it is getting confused. If it is inside a folder I would take it out and put it on the flash drive like you would for a boot disk.

There might be a conflict with the software that is on there already and it can't over write the current files. I would suggest backing up the current software on there and then wiping the hard drive and do a real fresh install.

This is all stuff I would do with a normal PC , I don't have any experience with M2Go either.

That's is a very specific OS in stallion guide if I have ever seen one. I think you should use all the tools they provide as well. With it laid out like that it almost seems to easy.

Found success on the Martin forum. I knew it was going to be something silly. Turns out you need to use one of the USB ports on the back of the console and not one on the side...

Yeah it said that in the istall guide. *wink*
