Control/Dimming ELC Buddy setup

Hi all,

I'm working on a project that is using the ELC DMX buddy. The unit is brand new however neither computer I have access to can "find" the buddy when connected via USB or the Ethernet port. I am using the easy setup software provided by ELC.

Has anyone setup these up before? Any ideas why I wouldn't be able to find it?

I got one about a month ago and it has been working well so far. Do note that it will not run without USB power connected adn the easy setup software works exclusively through USB.
If it isn't lighting up:
-Try a different cable.
-Make sure that your USB port is providing enough power, try a powered USB hub.
-Try a different USB port, try a USB 2.0 and a 3.0.

If it is lightinng up:
-Still try a different USB port.
-Check Device Manager to see if there is an unrecognized device, you may need drivers.
-Try to reset the device with the button on the back.

If none of this works call your dealer. I am a bit wary of the quality control of these devices, mine came sealed, in-box, with a screw missing from the front panel. It doesn't affect operation however it does say something about quality control.
