If someone is interested in a challenge, how about dropping in at Booth 1859, the NeutrikUSA booth and ask if they have considered making more USA friendly PowerCon and True1 cable connectors. The problem is with type SO 12/3 cable which won't fit, especially in the True1 connector, type SJ, no problem BUT no go on SO.

Someone, perhaps not me but others perhaps also have chatted with Leviton, Marinco and other vendor rep's about the limitations of the Neutrik plug over the years. Sent some advance copies and Bought some of the new Marinco alternative, not completely inpressed with what design they have for it, but doing both brand now in neither preferred overall. Wish they did the True 1 also.

I have seen Powercon type connectors mounted on SO type cable from fixtures - China. Never really looked into them much as they have been noted on the SO cable to come un-locked at times. Mostly recycled them as with almost all cable/fixture whips as almost all are too thin a gauge for power feed thru (idiot proofing) and most are not rock and roll in being broken down in jacket type by DF-50 fluid and or cold. Yea, 12/3 SJOOW cable non CE standard cable is the best. And them darned pozi-drive or T-8 screws. "Silly American" there is no problem with XLR male shell locking slots breaking I was once told. Really told this.

Any interesting LED architectural fixtures? Think conversion........

I looked at the Pro Four Cell Pendant from ETC and the sister product the Pro One Cell they were quite impressive. Those pendants are able to dim so unbelievably smooth. Doing a 30 second dim out, it was unbelievable how long the last few gasps of light held on before finally fading out perfectly smooth. I'm sure they aren't cheap, but they are VERY good. I wasn't really looking for architectural lights so that's all I can comment on. They have wireless DMX built in or can be run wired DMX as well. Not a direct replacement for the pendants in my theater, but VERY good technology and a sign that the true direct replacement pendants I want to have eventually are on the way in the near future.
