Finding Summer Theater Employment/Internships

TECHNICIAN FOR HIRE - Finding Summer Theater Employment/Internships/Design Apprenticeships

Greetings,
I am a current Undergraduate Student pursuing a BFA in Design and Technical Theater, with a concentration in Scenic Design. I'm looking for a Summer Internship or Employment opportunity in Technical Theater near the Greater Boston Area but also open to travelling. Any advice or information on finding Summer Theater Employment/Internships/Design Apprenticeships would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know how much summerstock work you're going to find if you have to leave at the end of June. Even mid-August is debateable, as most summerstock companies will often perform to to Labor Day weekend.

June 30 is going to be your major issue. Most summerstocks start up mid to late may and run all the way to labor day... some go even later. Anything up this way will go to at least labor day. As far as Boston area goes.... there is a decent amount of work down on the cape. There is also a ton of work in the Berkshires. Of course you can head up to Maine/New Hampshire/Vermont and you can't throw a rock without hitting a summer stock. Come out my way in Hudson valley/Adirondack region you will hit a ton more.
