Sound f/x Mitti Cue Playback Software

Looks like a good find. NewTek certainly has the reputation for deliverable automated cueing. The tricaster is similarly unmatched in market competition for commercial video switchers, but I'm not sure the market has a current void for competition. Maybe if it was PC based, I could see a marketable "Qlab of PC" but then there is always the tried and true Godfather that is SFX. Qlab was developed to service a user based need and the fact that the creators themselves continue to actively use it in the field and pull from a community of designers and technicians, including this forum, is what leads to its continued success. If ever a better mousetrap was built Qlab is it.

Something else could work, but you know Qlab WILL work and a majority of venues, technicians, designers and stage managers know it and can operate it. Competition is largely driven by a better product at a lower price. With Qlab's rent to own option and dominance of the field it would take something revolutionary to create any sort of competition.

Certainly cheaper than Qlab, however I doubt it is as good. The people working on Qlab have spent a LOT of time making it as rock solid as it is, and making features people in the industry want/like.

I have to say if they made this for PC I'd be much more willing to jump onboard. sorry but on the MAC, QLab wins.

Hi Guys, Mitti developer here! :)

Mitti is definitely not a QLab clone, and it had not been designed to replace anything on the market. Just give it a go to see if it suits your needs or not.

Edit: I just realised we are on the Sound/Music forum. Mitti is a video cue player - although it can play and route audio of movie files, it does not support audio files directly.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer it.
