Everything was working fine but I kept getting warnings about the memory battery being low, so I replaced it yesterday and now it won't even boot up. I called Leviton tech support and the guy there says it's the mother board, which they just so happen to have in stock for $1900! How can the mother board go out just by replacing the battery? I really need to get this going but I'll use it as a boat anchor before I throw $1900 at it. BTW it only has 1 video card. I've research and read some things about the 2nd video card causing this.

Well. It could be their motherboard. You might of static shocked it.

What is it doing/not doing.

Does it POST? you get beeps?

You put in the right battery?
Swap back to the old?

Reseat cables? Check PSU cables?
Consoles are tight spaces opening them could jar something loose.

I've tried swapping the batteries back. It powers up but I get no response from any button. The monitor is blank and the LCD screen is blank where it usually shows the word Innovator. It's like the OS has been wiped clean.

Well you got power that’s a start. Download a fresh version of the software if you can get it and put it on a floppy and see if it installs/boots. When you popped the battery you might of lost the ROM.

You can get a fresh copy on the product page.

Fingers crossed.

Look through all the wiring harnesses and reseat everything. It could very well be an issue with the motherboard but it's more likely something got disrupted when you opened the console up.

Replacing the battery will clear your settings and active show file. Shouldn't blank out the OS though.

I just found out how to do a hard clear and reset, and it worked like a charm! All is good in my world again! It's hard to believe replacing the battery would do this, though. Thanks guys!

Guess me crossing my fingers helped somewhat lol gratz.

For the record: If the data needs to be kept alive via a backup battery, then removing the battery trashes the data. It is actually worse if you try to replace the battery real fast as you may end up with hung trash as compared to all zeros of a cleared memory. In critical applications, I try to jump a second battery with clip leads while changing the backup battery. Thankfully, newer equipment has moved away from the backup battery and to non-volatile memory. The exception being anything with a clock or calendar, but often all you trash is the time and date.
