Selecon Pacific projecting plastic media question

The HS I help out, loves to use laser printed gobos, in a Selecon Pacifica. We use a GLA (575W), laser printed gobos printed at Staples, the plastic media holder, and de-tune the lamp setting.
It seems I need to run them at ~ 85% to have them last for a six hour event.

I would like to set them up, bench focused flat, and without a portable dimmer. This would allowing me to step away after giving them an almost goof proof solution.

I will be trying a GLH (375W), but would like to know if someone has a better solution. Perhaps a preferred brand/part number of laser printer medium, or other simple and inexpensive solutions?

Thanks,

I've not had good luck with this process either.... can't get stuff bright enough to be useful. I believe their acclaimed heat management system is not quite what it's cracked up to be. LED fixtures will work a lot better.

Put it in a Rosco iPro?

EDIT: Also, the acetate that Rosco sells to go into the iPro is a thicker material than the typical transparency. So, you might want to just try getting that. It is considerably more expensive and you won't find it at Staples/Office Depot.

Thanks @ruinexplorer, if the Rosco iPro Film gives us a little more than what we use now, it would be one of those "simple and inexpensive solutions". At $3/sheet, and a box lasting a few years, if it works whats not to like!

Anyone with iPro Film experience, or success stories from other approaches?
