@dvsDave, Cue3, and I will be attending NAMM for the first time this year, trying to spread the word about CB.

Who else will be going?

Creative Conners will have a small booth and we are sending a couple of guys to take the temperature of the show. It all feels very experimental but we've been doing more work with rock & roll tours and other non-theaters customers. We're curious to find out how much crossover we'll find between NAMM & LDI. It feels like a very different animal.

Talking to exhibitors at LDI I have a feeling a lot of people will be doing the same thing. I don't think we are going to see a huge shift overnight, but people are definitely re-considering NAMM. On the other hand I also had an exhibitor tell me he wasn't going back to NAMM because it was too loud and he couldn't talk to customers there. As you said, different animals. It'll be interesting to see how they adapt to make the lighting and production industry feel more at home.

Our West Coast guy will be walking the show to feel it out. Our head of engineering is giving a presentation on wireless DMX. No booth though, maybe next year.

RC4 Wireless will be there with a booth, and we’re presenting a seminar with guests from the Katy Perry tour to talk about deploying wireless DMX in large music tours and large venues.

I’m a big fan of NAMM. I much prefer a non-profit member-driven organization running industry shows, rather than for-profit companies. For a century NAMM has been covering musical instruments and sound. I applaud them for expanding their world-class style and integrity into lighting.

Ill be walking the show. First time going for the whole time, usually I make it a one day trip as that about as many meetings as I could get together at that show. It will be interesting to see if the show can get the audience the vendors hope to reach.

Word of caution... bring your earplugs, or avoid the drum hall...... dont say I didn't warn you!

I’ll be walking the show Thursday and Friday (before heading into work for shows those nights). First time attending, so I’m excited to see what they have geared toward live events.

I wonder who will be at the Chauvet booth? Oh, booth # 11133.

I think I remember someone saying that it's mostly the Chauvet DJ team at NAMM, not our friends on the Chauvet Professional side.

Correction Chauvet does have a full booth of both the Pro and DJ lines... The only things missing are @Ford and @Ben Dickmann.
