ControlBooth was actually created on January 31st, 2003, but didn't launch publicly till Febuary 19th, 2003.
It was created in response to a growing need for a place for anyone to be able to ask questions and get solid, technically sound, and safe answers. ControlBooth started out as a place for High School students to get answers, especially those students who didn't have a TD at their facility. (like my high school, we had to figure it all out ourselves)
Eventually the CB community grew to encompass all levels of technical theatre and live entertainment technology. We are so very blessed to have so much talent and knowledge amongst the CB community.
We are looking forward to the next 15 years and hope you'll stick around to help and inspire the next generation as well!
