Board with Little Lights

Over the weekend I got a chance to try out my next generation of portable - in the field solder station. This until late in the night soldering LED tape wiring in the 10' ceiling. Worked but many little changes to make, and big for it was the 1/4" LittleLight flex conduit plugged into the XLR jack was insufficient in flex to mount two lights at it’s head. It would stay there for some, but I often had to re-adjust.

I’m using a Juno “Track 12" wash light #TL103LED-4K- BL as the main wash light. Than a MR-11 Gimbal ring with MR-11 LED lamp for a spot. Removed the track light mounts and drilled out for 25/64" the mounting to 1/8 IP pipe. From there 1/4-18 NPT and 1/8-27 IPT are important tap and die sizes. Actual parts and techniques used are proprietary in invention of it (sorry).

As said, the dual lamp was too heavy for the 1/4" Little Light, but I think not too heavy for a single wash light. And in stepping up in size to mount two fixtures... something in the chapter of McMaster Car #50035a23 gets you in the range of flex conduit that will mount two fixtures as pictured. On the way to the second version of a solder station - this with third generation already in mind.

Candy questions.

-Name the parts and tools I really was using on my work table in poto #1. (One at the bottom of the screen discontinued but a favorite.)
-What in general are the boxes behind in photo #4 housed in my workshop?

Next generation solder station is going well, Incorporating in both a (Menards) Master Force brand 3" low profile vise which is both quick adjust and ratchet tight. So if in a road case, you won't have to work hard to adjust with the handle in pulling it up and down. Was on the fence about doing this vise, but it's kind of a cool - while light duty vise solution that will work out well for the show need. And two positions for a 1/2 cheseborough to each half turn, both because the tour I'm building it for is using light pipe LED's, and a means to clamp would be good. A few solutions in clamping and working on the light pipes.

What are you using the thread tap & die set on?

Metal part of the Littlelite flexible head in tapping & converting to 1/8 IP the Juno light works better with..
