Has anyone any experience of this fixture?

I'm looking for something cheap with a very wide beam angle (for washes on small stages without much throw distance). The 120° beam angle is attracting me here (and the fact that you can whack a lens on it to make it 20° should the situation call for it).

I know it's a budget brand, and I'm sure that I could get something much better if I was prepared to pay significantly more — but for this sort of price range, is there anything better?

Haven't used this particular brand, but its ability to dim smoothly would be the first drawback of any low price LED fixture.
Also, 120 degrees is really freaking wide. I'm always amazed at how wide a 50degree source four is 8' up and out.

Ah, brilliant. I'm currently thinking of using four of them to light a 6m x 5m stage (three as top wash, making three areas across the stage, and one upstage as backlight), hung at a height of about 4.5m. Does this sound a reasonable plan? I'll also have front wash from conventionals, and a little bit of low sidelight.

For political reasons, I'm only able to hang four fixtures above the stage. (Don't ask!) So I'm trying to get the most out of a small number of lanterns.

That shouldn't be an issue, with a 4.5m hang height you will get a pool of light about 6.5m in diameter. You may want to use the smaller 50deg lens to decrease the size of the beams, which will increase the output.
