Architectural Controller with audio to DMX

Don’t know if you got to read my suggestion but your over thinking a very very simple gig.
Chauvet or similar DJ controllers spit out DMX you can get one that can do 192 channels, 16-16 channel fixtures
Many chases/options. Audio in or built in mic for audio triggered use.
Fixed led pars, movers up to 16 channels and of course regular dimmer packs.
Guess how much 100$ US
Don’t have that much? Lixada from China I’m sure is Chauvet’ manufacture. Their unit is really the same thing, but it’s less than $35 free shipping in most cases. You should be able to afford this! No computer needed at all! Metal construction, 19” 4U rack mountable but not nessary for both the Chauvet and it’s no name clone. Only drawback to the One direct from China is no support network. But the Chauvet online toutorials are fine, it’s the same thing. You can find them on FB. The distributer is called TopTom. Long delivery time. Also a good source of led pars and mini movers that are actually bright and work. I got 16 of their wash lights ran them for a week constantly only 1 started acting up. Sent it back. 2 mo later they sent another. Have ordered more. For the price their disposable.

Ugh, fitness centers. I've always been screwed over by them. Big dreams, high expectations, but never want to spend a dime more than they have to. Even replacing a few ceiling speakers comes down to hemming and hawing about whether $80 speakers are better than $15 Amazon specials.

I absolutely would not use Mosaic, especially if you have 3 rooms for this. That means 3 remote audio interfaces and the hardware price tag just keeps jacking up. You don't need an architectural lighting controller for this -- you need a crucifix.

@MNicolai I hear you, wholeheartedly agree, and am posting in support. They'll complain about the cost of metal back-boxes for their speakers but wail loud and long when mice and rats chew holes through their unprotected cones and / or another visitor to their ceilings forces a few fish tapes or push-rods through their cones and possibly damages the wiring that they refused to pay to have installed in a solidly attached and enclosed box.
Sing on Mike, the choir's attentively listening.
Toodleoo!
