Passive Sub Amp Setup

So normally, when I build a PA that uses passive speakers, I try to balance the load per amplifier.
For example on a stereo amp Channel 1 is a Sub, Channel 2 is Front Fill. Then I know the overall power draw will be averaged from the relatively low output of the front fill and relatively high output of the sub.

In a situation I think I'll be about to be in, there may not be anything for me to add to the other side of the amp and I'm not sure I'll be able to justify the added expense to the client.

Am I overthinking and underestimating the power handling of amps or living in the past with my faith in their power ratings?
Thanks as always folks!

In general it shouldn't make a big difference, but at the risk of over-generalizing, what type of amp/speakers are you running?

Most modern amps are fairly robust and tolerant about how their loaded, QSC even has something called "FAST" which allows for flexible power routing to outputs as needed.

I realized I didn't finish my thought.
Because usually I have 2 Amps, one sub per amp.
In this situation I won't have something else to offload the second amp channel, I was going to put both subs on 1 amp.
In one room there will be 2 JBL AC115, another room will have 2 SB2210s. Both with Crown XLS amps

@macsound For an education coupled with a LARGE variety of diverse opinions, why not also post this on the ProSound LAB (Live Audio Board) site in their subwoofer sub-forum? I'm confident you'll soon have a LARGE variety of experienced opinions. Note: Real names are a strictly enforced requirement on the ProSound LAB sites.
@TimMc Have you any thoughts to contribute??
Toodleoo!
