QLX-D question

I'm looking at buying some Shure QLX-D wireless for a venue where, in some situations, the users will have to switch their own mics on and off. I see that the transmitters don't have audio mute buttons, only power on/off. How long do these take to wake up and produce audio, and is there any turn-on or turn-off noise? Any other negatives?

IIRC, it's about 1.5s. It's a flip the switch and count to three before you talk kind of thing.

We just upgraded some of our wireless systems to the QLX. I have not expirenced any noise when turning transmitters on or off. It is less than 2 seconds between when they are switched on and when they fully transmit. I agree with the "count to 3 rule". We have been very pleased with them so far.
