Wireless Video Transmission

I'm thinking about adding more monitors backstage. Wireless is more expensive, but a really clean and easy solution. Of course I've got wireless mics, wireless clear com, and wifi to deal with so frequencies are a very critical topic to look at in this. Do you have an products you are happy with especially ones that operate in a unique band of frequencies?

I'm still a big fan of copper. It works where wireless doesn't and copper doesn't eat up precious Part 15 (unlicensed) bandwidth.

Yeah, as I look further into the options I'm not sure that I have any choice but copper. I'm in the middle of a high school campus and I. T. is using all of 5hz except for one small band they left for me to use for my sound and light remotes. Pretty much everything I am finding is just hanging out in the middle of 5ghz and often it does not have a way to control the channels. So I'm not going to be allowed to use any of that gear.

Been there done that.. hated the T shirt... coax, or convert to and from cat5/6
Thanks I was afraid someone would say that. My only experience with wireless video was about 10 years ago and it was a disaster.

Teradek is something that I have seen demoed on a Vegas convention floor (very RF noisy environment) and it worked great in their 20x20 booth, where I have seen other wireless applications fail. They are often used in broadcast situations. And the delay was not noticeable at all. It really depends on the bandwidth that you need (lower color and resolution makes for more friendly wireless).

In our use the range varies from about 6M to 115M with antennas rarely in-phase..

Zero latency and rock-solid.
