Midas M32 / Qlab 4 Integration

I am having trouble integrating Qlab 4 and my Midas M32 console.

My ideal end result would be to have the assign section buttons of the M32 be able to control "GO", "Panic", "Next Cue" "Last Cue".

I have watched and followed this (

) youtube video. However our board has Card MIDI greyed out, but I can still select it. I do not have a MIDI card, so I am using the integrated MIDI In/Out on the back of the board, going to USB C onto my Mac Mini Running Qlab 4. I have the most up to date software on the M32.

Let me know if you need any more details or have any suggestions.

Thanks!

Take a look at the program"X32 Theatre Control". It will run on the Mac and interfaces with X32 and M32 through Open Sound Control (OSC). It accepts commands from the M32 and forwards them to Qlab. There is also a version for Windows and Cue Player.

You haven't really provided a lot of information, so I'm going to start from the top -

1. The CARD MIDI is not a MIDI Card if my knowledge of X32 stuff is correct - This is just MIDI Implementation if you have the USB Recording card installed on the desk. Otherwise the standard MIDI Ports will work just fine. In this instance you would not select CARD MIDI as instructed in the YouTube video you linked, you would instead select MIDI IN/OUT under MIDI Control Interface.

2. I'm assuming you have some sort of MIDI Interface plugging into the USB port on your Playback Computer. Have you gone into QLab MIDI settings to verify that the computer sees this USB MIDI Interface?

3. Have you verified that the OUT from the audio console is plugged into the IN on the USB to MIDI Interface?

Download MIDI Monitor to verify that the system sees MIDI input if you continue having issues on the QLab side of things.

I will take a look at this. It looks promising….

It is just a USB-C to MIDI in and out cable. Qlab does see a interface. I will try swapping the in and out when I get in tomorrow. That may be the culprit. Thanks for the advice!
