WANTED: CD80SV processor card

Does anyone have a working CD80SV rack processor card still hanging around somewhere that they'd like to sell?

My processor card had a pretty significant corrosion event related to a battery leak during Covid downtime, and my dealer took a look at it on the bench and decided it wasn't fixable.. so now I'm faced with either hunting up another CD80SV processor card to get me through another few seasons, or biting the bullet and upgrading to C21 or Johnson. I don't really want to put the kind of dollars the upgrade would cost into this rack at this time -- if I had more calendar time before I needed the unit working, I'd probably replace the whole rig with a touring Sensor rack instead of this 48 channel Strand install rack, but alas, first production of the summer opens June 2nd, so unfortunately I'm option constrained by the calendar..

Appreciate any leads!

Cheers,
Joe

Have you talked to Lite-Trol? They're quite familiar with that particular problem and could very likely repair it. If not, they usually have replacements too. Steve and the rest are all good people.

June 2nd is years away in rental time. I would hit up anyone around MI and get yourself a tour rack. If you were down here we have 4 collecting dust in the corner, so I imagine someone up there in MI is doing the same thing. Hell they might pay you for getting it out of their shop for the extra space 😂😂😂.

Yeah, if my venue were set up for a touring rack already, I'd definitely go that way -- there are a couple 48 channel sensor racks on the used market for peanuts (about half what just the processor upgrade is gonna cost me).. but the current rack is an install rack, so the circuits don't terminate to Socapex currently, and getting all the wiring work done in time plus getting my hands on a rack seems like a tall order in the next month :-(

If I had it to do over again, I'd wire the venue up with socapex from the start -- it's a seasonal venue (essentially a barn -- not temperature controlled), so it really would make sense to be able to remove the dimming equipment during the off months; but alas, I wasn't thinking of it that way when I originally installed this gear :-/

Yeah if it’s installed wires without a patch panel to swing over that would be a decent amount of work.
