Wow! that's a trifecta! A rare modernish 50's style antique looking badly designed lighting
fixture, and a bad concept of protection of the wiring.
First heat travels up... I am not seeing vent holes or hood on the top. Must be a North Korea designed
fixture. it's certainly not bench focusing a BTL in design.
Second is obviously where the
cord grip is and the type AC (BX)
conduit coming out of it.
Third is the seemingly, home owner grade (not commercial grade)
Edison plug attached to the
conduit.
Thou there is the modern concept of the clutch cam and the interesting concept at the center of the
yoke so as to mount.. something in needing a wider plate for it = extra labor and materials to do so.
Evidence says it did come out of the factory this way. Have you seen one or is this a late April Fools joke?
