Sennheiser EW-DX: Anyone seen them in person?

A late Happy Thanksgiving all! I discovered yesterday that Sennheiser was adding to their line of Evolution digital wireless with the EW-DX, which looks an awful lot like it gives ULXD functionality (including 4 channels/rack space and Dante integration) for a significantly lower cost. We have a bunch of G3 and G4 evolution wireless in our inventory, so the ability to re-use capsules and lavs is attractive.

Has anyone come across these in person? Any concerns with jumping right into a brand new product like this? I was planning to slowly invest in more ULXD to replace the analog gear over the next few years, but this is a very intriguing alternative. One thing I notice right off the bat is that the receivers have built-in headphone monitoring ports, which is conspicuously missing on the ULXD4Q.

I used these with EW-DX-SKM-S transmitters for VOG mics on a production recently, rental shop had a demo unit. They worked just fine, but I also wasn't using them for anything super exciting to really gauge performance, all of the mics I was throwing on actors were ADX1M's and this was the only unit with a push-button mic that the rental shop had. I liked interfacing with the front of the unit more than the ULXD4Q. Because they were just utility mics I didn't throw open a copy of WSM or use their iPad application.

I do dislike the lack of headphone port on the ULXD4Q's, I use an instance of QLab where I have built-out a QCart to function as a listen station to get around the lack of headphone port, but there is added latency that can't be helped due to Dante Virtual Soundcard.

Axient is so expensive, so it's awesome that Sennheiser is FINALLY being competitive in the middle of the market after almost 4 years being off their game. I'd be interested to see if there is any noticeable audible difference between them and the ULXD4Q - I doubt it'd be as drastic as the early days of digital RF where we'd have leads on digital and ensemble on analog, my guess is that it'd all come down to dynamic range and how each unit handles performance at peak.

I have yet to test it proper, only seen a pre-release version, but must admit I love it.
Already starting to save up to sell my 4 channels EW300-G3 and change them to a single EW-DX 4 chan (or two) :)
