Frequency Coordination - Analog mixed with EW-D

Anyone running Sennheiser's EW-D along with older systems? I want to start phasing out Shure SLX with EW-D and the budget says I can't do it all at once. I've been relying on Wireless Workbench to manage my 15 SLX units, but If I swap 5 SLX for EW-D I'm not sure how fit them in, what with the unique way Sennheiser has managed the RF IM issue. Is it as simple as fitting the EW-D frequencies in between the SLX harmonics as depicted in WWB?

The quick answer is "yes."

We are running EW-Ds not only with older analog RF mics, but also alongside ULX-Ds frequently. We've never had any intermod issues between any of them. You can absolutely run them side by side with older analog equipment.

We have 16 EW-D along with 8 A-T 3000 series at the summer theater I support. We are sandwiched between 2 active TV stations and there's some overlap between the EWD and A-T operating bands. But it works out ok with the A-T at the top end of their range and the EWD below them.
The A-T's are one of the most rugged older series I've dealt with and are quite forgiving of non-co-ordinated frequency choosing. So they get assigned first and left on in a tight pile in the center of the stage (for worst-case intermod generation) then I use the EW-D app to scan and assign themselves. Surprisingly it worked just like they said it would and there's been no issues for 2 years now -with plenty of room to add a few more EW-D. The plan is to retire those A-T's asap as they eat up almost 3 to one spectrum over more EW-D's.
We have more issues with youth actors demolishing earset elements than we do RF issues!
