We use ETC consoles on Colortran ENR rack. Can get an ETC SEnsor rack free. Any issues integrating the sensor. We are buying an Ion 3Universe. So there's plent of channels. Thanks for examples or suggestions.

No issues. The Ion puts out DMX, so existing data lines to the ENR can be extended to the Sensor, if it's convenient.

If the Sensor is going in a different location, you might find it easier to run a Cat5 line direct to the Sensor, if it's a Sensor with CEM Plus or CEM 3. You can keep the ENR on DMX as well. If the Sensor CEM is classic, then it's need DMX so how you get it to the rack is a consideration.

Yes there are several options including a DMX iso-splitter, or going from one rack to the other with DMX, as the ENR runs DMX, and as stated depending on the sensor you can also use lighting network protocol to go over ethernet for the Sensor. All depends on your situation.

Free Sensor?? Congratulations!!

Since you are doing 3 universes from the Ion, we know you are using some form of networking. The Ion doesn't come with more than 2 DMX outputs. Including the Sensor in that bit of network will bring you many benefits, so long as you avoid WiFi.

If the rack you are getting for free is a Sensor Classic rack perhaps inquire with your local dealer what the cost would be for a CEM3 retrofit. This will gain you some control options for the rack as well as giving you a warranty over the whole cabinet.
