An air wall is a movable wall that is designed to convert a larger room into smaller sections. The wall sections are typically connected to the ceiling by a track, the sections have wheels in the bottom and rollers in the top, and the sections are stored in a wall compartment when not in use. Airwalls are manually positioned by staff, or moved by motors. They are typically found in hotels, banquet facilities, etc.

These are also known more generically as operable walls outside of North America. Some international variants do away with the bottom casters, with the top rollers taking the full weight. This permits movement over non level floor finishes. Occasionally found in schools, churches as well as the more normal function centres.
