High time for this. The world would be a better and classier place without glitter. There's a reason some people call it "theater herpes"
 
Funny though, that these companies we inspired by either market demand or personal ethics, not incentivized by the government. This is how things should be, many thumbs up
 
They're not the biggest chains in the UK, I think they're ranked 4th (Morrison's) and 8th (Waitrose) among the larger chains, but it's a start.
 
It would be great if the big theatrical chandlers like Flints started carrying a more ecologically friendly glitter. We get through gallons of the stuff every panto...
 
Indeed. They made the move to properly biodegradable confetti and streamers for cannons, I guess glitter will be next.
