Well I just finished booking my flight. Who else is going?

Let's start planning our CB get together! While Apollo has always been generous to us in the past sharing their booth, it would be fun to get a little more organized and have a social event somewhere other than the convention hall floor. Anyone with any ideas share them. Would there be a time that our friends who are exhibitors would be able to join us or is your schedule just so tight working the floor that it just isn't possible? What if we got together on Thursday night?

You can get a free Exhibit Hall pass by going to this link and entering EP14 in the VIP code.

I'll be going to the show, but I won't be available for evening activities.

I'm going to be there along with 3-5 other cwu'rs. I'm going to be the only one under 21 in that group so I can do something as long as it doesn't involve the casino floor or a bar. Oh and btw Gafftaper Tina and Jerry i'm pretty sure will be there.

The tradeshow floor is usually a pretty brisk place to visit, depending upon the time of day of course! (Groggy mornings seem best to visit, as party-goers generally don't wait in line first thing in the morning, if you know what I mean...) Thursday evening the winners of the 'Rock Our World' awards will be announced at the 2010 ESTA Annual Dinner which will take place at the Las Vegas Hilton on Thursday, October 21, 2010. There may be a few ControlBooth people besides me that will be involved with this, so I'm sorry to miss you Thurs eve.

It has been a pleasure meeting and greeting so many ControlBooth members in the past, and while an evening gathering is a great idea (and hopefully comes together), you may still feel free to find each other at the Apollo booth #1412.

I look forward to seeing a number of you at the show!

So Keith is there a night or time that our CB friends working the trade show (like you or the ETC people) will be free? Seems like there is always something going on and you guys are going non-stop. What if we met somewhere nearby shortly after the trade show floor closes for a short early evening get together? OR is that the time you guys all go take naps to prepare for the evening and you just aren't likely to be able to make anything?

CBR372... keep me informed of how that turns out it would be fun to visit with the CWU crew a bit. I completely at random found myself walking into the convention center restaurant at the same time as Tina during LDI 2006, but that's not likely to happen without a little pre-planning.

Naps- whaaat?!

I haven't been able to squeeze a nap into the dozen years I've been traveling, but sometimes it sure sounds like a good idea!

Whichever evening works best for you and the rest of the crew, I'll do my best to join. (Bringing a few swaggish items might not be a bad idea either...)

*yawn :shifty:

I usually fly to wherever LDI is on and stay for a week after, but unfortunately I can't go this year because a show overlaps LDI.
Keep me posted on how it goes in October!

LDI's early registration rates ended last week and we are now up to the standard rate.

But guess what? They just announced a two week sale! The complete Innovation and Technology Conference is $525, Projection Masters Classes are $525, and Backstage Las Vegas is $1200. These prices are all actually cheaper than the original early registration rate.

Register before September 6th and use the source code: SD2

Unfortunately for me (though I shouldn't complain about getting work), the first year I can afford to go and have no academics blocking travel, I have work scheduled the whole month. I didn't think I'd be able to afford to go when I scheduled everything, rats.

I'll be there Wednesday and Thursday for the stage rigging class, as well as Friday and Saturday for the exhibit hall.

By the way we will plan on having a CB gathering. Details are yet to be worked out.

Amended schedule: I'm coming in Tuesday afternoon, I'll be there for the Stage Rigging class Wed. and Thu. And I'll be visiting the exhibit hall Friday, driving back home Friday night.
