Auditions for students in Midwest

I'm in Central Illinois trying to figure out where to send my students for auditions. I've been going to SETC since I was a student & have taken my tech theatre kids there but actors can't audition there. I keep looking for the SETC of the Midwest but I'm not sure it's out there. As a result many of my students are going home and working retail over the summer.

I am looking for recommendations: where do Midwest students (ours is a BA program) find summer jobs? I'm especially interested in where to send them to find acting jobs since I have never in my life tried to find one for myself. To be honest I would be interested in acting & tech: sometimes SETC is just too far away.
