Automation Software question

Hey.
Can anyone tell me where I could find information on softwares/control systems used with fly systems, revolving stages etc? I'm planning to do a school assignment on the subject and need information. Nothing specific at this point, just something to get started.
Help would be appreciated.

Conners is a great start. I've seen it used for all the automation I've run (Village Theatre in Issaquah and 5th Ave. Theatre in Seattle) and I love it. It's a community driven program, and has a bunch of videos for you to reference and see, truly, what this system can do.

Fisher and Stage Technologies have some information on their web sites, but a lot of the serious documentation is hard to get to unless you use their gear.
