Control/Dimming Bad ION encoder wheel

Hey all,

Having problems with an encoder wheel on an ION. It's part of the lighting package that came with the space, so I'm not sure it's history.

The encoder is able to roll clockwise in a semi-ok fashion - it's a little bit slow. The problem is that when rolling the encoder counterclockwise, it just continues to go up.

I go into tech programming a show tomorrow, so trying to figure something out. Any help or thoughts would be awesome.

Since this is a time-sensitive issue, call 1.800.688.4116 right now, while sitting in front of the console. Because it's a Sunday, you'll likely have to leave a message and wait up to fifteen minutes for a call back. ETC Tech Services can diagnose the issue, hardware and software, and help with a plan to repair/replace the console as required.

It sounds as if you'll also need to get permission from the owner of the equipment, or his representative (venue TD, custodian, etc.): "It's part of the lighting package that came with the space."

Under the Shell, Settings, Maintenence. Load the face panel test to confirm the encoder is malfunctioning.
