Battery Question

Ultralife batteries markets a variety of lithium-ion batteries. They have a AA size to 1.5V but it's not rechargeable. Don't know what your app. is but if you can use a 3 volt batt then they offer some rechargeables.

I have a camera that runs on two AA batts. I am looking for the best battery solution for use in cold weather.

Ok, so on to further research, what is the best cold weather AA battery, and is there a rechargeable that will fit the bill?

Sorry, Alk's are about all you can use. All batteries work by converting a chemical reaction into electricity. Cool the reaction down and it will last longer, but produce the needed byproduct at a much slower rate. Now, as with many other things, there is a solution in the not-too-distant future.... Super-Capacitors! Seams our firecracker friends overseas are working on changing the coating on the plates to hold 100 to 1000 times as much power per given volume as current caps hold. The real push is for electric cars, but lets face it, it will also be the death of the common battery as we know it! After all, who would want those little toxic waste cans in their flashlights if there was something that held up well and could be recharged as many times as you like. Of course, there will be the standard price curve to work through....... ;)

God Bless the $50 9 volt super capacitor battery!
