One of ControlBooth's members, @BOB FOREMAN , runs the Vintage Theatre Catalogs Blog, which I highly recommend for some fascinating reading.

Today, though, Bob contacted me to share the story of a boyhood friend of his, Billy Waldron, who died fifty years ago today (Nov 8th, 1969)

I will let Bob tell the story on his own site: https://vintagetheatrecatalogs.blogspot.com/2019/10/fifty-years-ago-on-saturday-november.html

I would like to ask the ControlBooth Community to raise a glass tonight in memory of Billy. Requiescat in pace

What a wonderful, but sad story of one of "ours". We lost one of our stage managers this season to suicide, so this brought back some tough memories. Such a shame to lose so young a person. Folks sometimes look at me like I'm crazy, cause if I don't consider it safe, I'll shut the place down. This just reinforces my way of thinking. God bless his family and friends and thanks dvsDave for sharing.
