http://www.ellentv.com/videos/0-5x0gi5x6/ Curious if anyone knows a source for these upstage strips. They are illuminated with movers on the floor, and probably something else.

The movers go through them a few times but I almost feel like they are colored plastic with a strip light below them. If you notice the purple ones stay purple as do the blue ones. They only change when the mover hits them.

I'm not interested in how the effect is achieved as this is a piece Ellen uses a lot, and there's tons of examples of that. I'm more interested in what those strips are and where I can get them.

I think they are PVC strips blue and purple.

One could probably achieve a similar effect with gel from the lighting department and some gaff tape?
