Chauvet Pro Rogue R2x Wash Home Position

The venue recently switched over the LED wash lights and added 8 Chauvet Rogue R2x movers as well. The Rogues home position is 90 degrees off of normal. Instead of homing parallel to the Lcd screen...they home perpendicular. After doing a factory reset, the light will home properly, but as soon as I plug Dmx back in....it turns 90 degrees. I'm assuming something is set wrong in the patch or with the profile I used to patch. I've checked all pan/tilt options in the patch and on the instrument and these settings are all correct. Anyone have any ideas?

Depending on the console you have you should be able to record a position and make it the new home for the instrument.

Yes, I can record a preset with a new home position, but I'd like to know why the instruments are not homing correctly.

It sounds like the console profile your using has that set on the home position. Depending on the console you may be able to edit the profile yourself, or need to request it from the console manufacturer.

This is the way the R2X homes (Pan @50) with the head 90° to the screen. The clamps need to be in line with the long axis of the base. I chose to hang mine with the screens facing SR and data/power connections SL.

Thanks for the follow up JP. I was starting to suspect this but couldn't find it in writing anywhere; I appreciate the confirmation.

No problem!
FYI, I love my R2X washes.
What I did for the omega bracket and mega claw clamps that I had was put a lock washer between the bolt head and the omega bracket. I was able to get them tight enough to hold and line up US/DS. The lock washer gave enough play to make that work.
