Choir microphone help

I've had great luck with the very affordable MXL 603s pencil condensers for choir. I think it was $150 for a pair including cage mounts when ordered direct last time I bought some.

In one venue I advise, the downside of using floor boom stands is the choir director's compulsive need to micro-adjust mic positioning when octet changes to septet etc. generally she makes things worse, loses consistency and aim, and loses gain before feedback esp. when monitors are part of the picture. I would hang them if possible to prevent accidental bumps and well-meaning expert tweaking that creates other problems.
