Lighting. Blue or brown color fringing at the edge of the beam of an ERS. Caused by the fact that different wavelengths of light are transmitted at different speeds through the lens.

Can often be seen when a gobo is used

and the gobo doesn't have to be in sharp focus.

Is seldom a problem, as the effect disappears once color is added to the beam.
