It looks like there is going to be a pretty cool symposium at Chapman University just before LDI.

Cirque du Soleil® / Chapman University 2nd Annual Entertainment and Technology Symposium

Cirque du Soleil is partnering with Alicia Guy, Associate Professor of Dance, and Don Guy, Head of Entertainment Technology at Chapman University, to produce the 2nd Annual Entertainment and Technology Symposium at Chapman University, Oct. 12-14, 2012. This year’s event will include technical classes led by Cirque du Soleil and Disney plus many of the leading entertainment industry manufacturers including: Meyer Sound, Stage Technologies, Martin Lighting, Columbus McKinnon, Silver State Wire Rope & Rigging and MAC Makeup, to name just a few.
