Cleaning Tips

I just found out what the fall play is going to be this year (The Mousetrap). I've been planning on doing a thorough cleaning of all the fixtures and this is going to be a first for me and probably a first in many years for the school. Does anybody have any tips on how to clean old Lee Colortran lekos, old Altman scoops and old style "elongated-par-cans-meant-to-be-used-as-a-lekos"?
