Concert Lighting Designer WANTED
The Newton Theatre in Newton, NJ is currently seeking a Concert Lighting Designer:
TEK PAK IS ATTACHED FOR YOUR PERUSAL
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
CONCERT lighting experience
Experience in programming and operating moving light consoles
Experience in the use of moving light fixtures and LED fixtures
Experience hanging, wiring, and focusing plots from diagrams
Knowledge of safe electrical and rigging practices
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of moving light fixtures
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Design, focus, program and operate lighting console
Review and advance lighting portions of technical rider
Assist load-ins and load-outs for all productions
Assist in repair and maintenance of technical areas in the theatre
Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and used safely
Ensure the security of the theatre
Occasional pick-up and delivery of equipment and supplies.
Manage and supervise lighting assistants / interns
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be PUNCTUAL
Must be SOBER
Must have RELIABLE car
Must have professional attitude
Must be able to work long hours INCLUDING WEEKENDS
Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely
